Danuelle's Story

Danuelle Calloway (she/her) is a project manager, researcher, accessibility expert, and equity consultant. 

 

Her skills include evaluation planning, data collection, analysis, report writing, meeting planning and coordination, and equity and accessibility evaluation.

 

Danuelle cares about many focus areas for social justice and has extensive work in the area of reproductive and birthing justice, Native health, community health assessments, and health equity.

 

Projects she has worked on range from Achieving Birth Equity through Systems Transformation, Indigenous LAUNCH Evaluation, Michigan Title V Maternal Child Needs Assessment, to Michigan Regional COVID Health Equity Councils.

 

With over a decade of experience in birthing people and child health. She has established strong partnerships with Native and Indigenous communities, aging and elderly people, and 2SLGBTQIA+ folx.

 

She specializes in addressing upstream factors of inequity that limits the health and well-being of vulnerable people. She is extremely dedicated to her work and the passion she brings to it is palpable.

 

Always striving to tear down barriers, Danuelle has presented at conferences on anti-racism and systems change, community power building, and health equity. She works to call people into the work and centering folx that are most impacted.

 

When she isn’t working, you can find her tending to her large garden in her community, reading, and cycling nature trails.

 

Danuelle graduated from Michigan State University with an MA in Health and Risk Communication, a BS in Human Biology, and spent time in a post baccalaureate, medical school program.
